If anyone has any feedback about the website, I'd love to hear it. I made the site with my own worldbuilding goals in mind, but I want to adapt it to allow any type of world to be made and shared. This obviously means people are going to want things I don't need for my personal worlds and things I would never have imagined up. If you find any features missing, please let me know.
Hi, new here. I was trying to organize each nation separately. So one category can have records for all the info for that nation. I was wondering if theres a way to make a record of a record? So if I made a record of military history which summarizes wars if there is a way to make records to that record to go into more detail on each war, down to the major battles.
It would be cool to be able to filter worlds by language. Some worlds are written in Dutch or any language I don't know about and it's kinda painful to sort through them. I am fluent in English so it does not constitute a big problem for me but I can only imagine what it can be like for non-English speaking readers. Obviously this website is intended for English writing but many people don't use it that way, so it would be best for everyone to add this feature. A multilingual feature could be nice too. I plan to write my world in French since I am also copying its content to my RPG campaign local files, but I am definitely willing to write it in English here as well. However it would not be good to have to create two different worlds fo that. I am also pretty sure there are people around here willing to translate some of the worlds into English for the sake of the community.
Has there been any conversation about adding a time line feature? I know there are events we can create but I would like to be able to integrate those events into a larger timeline. The ability to add different ages, epochs, eras, would also be great. If the site already does that, can someone show me how? Thanks.
Customizable categories? You could start off with the structured categories, then edit them as you please; otherwise I'm stuck with classifications under the unstructured settings.
I just added some customizable categories. Every record now has four they can completely customize. Eventually I want to give users the ability to customize everything from scratch.
I've had a look around, & I think this only applies to the structured worlds. Would it be possible to have this for unstructured ones as well?
I'm glad you decided to go with the forum plan! o: I think what FoxyPancakes said would be best. Sub-forums for specific things on TerraChronica (with them all in one general sub-forum). And maybe another general sub-forum for technical feedback about the site, and another one for off-topic things would be best.
It's super cool to have a forum now :D Maybe have separate forum sections? Like, maybe a section to discuss cultures, one for history, one for geography, and so on. That way when there begins to be a lot more posts it'll be easier to navigate :)
