I'm passionate about well-told stories which take place in worlds with largely undefined margins. I believe that a good world is shrouded in darkness until a character arrives to illuminate it. When a part of the world world is relevant to the character, it becomes relevant to the reader/gamer/viewer because of their connection to that character.
That being said, I believe in building a completely working world. This is both for the sake of indulging my own curiosity and so that the small pieces which are revealed to the characters will not terminate immediately at the edge of their vision. Rather, they will appear to be only pieces, hinting at a much larger unrevealed tapestry.
