Climate and Geography

  • -Mediterranean towards the ocean and more temperate towards the east in the mountains
  • -30F to 70F
  • -Four seasons although changes are slight on the coast and more drastic in the mountains.
  • Lots of precipitation; blizzards in the mountains.
  • Some deforestation has occurred, but not as drastic as other nations such as Barreug.
  • The steady weather and strong rains make for great soil and lush plantlife
  • Many mountain ranges to the east and along the Aij border.
  • Many rivers and lakes as well as waterfalls in the mountains. Although not as grand as the ones in Aij, Otok's churches built around waterfalls make for a grand tourist attraction.

Natural Resources

  • Otok is filled with many fertile farmlands and has a surplus of food. 
  • Mineral deposits are few, however, trade with Aij supplies most of their ore resources.
  • In efforts to prevent deforestation problems, like Barreug, efforts to preserve forests have been undertaken. 

Flora and Fauna

  • Spruce trees, pine, mosh, ash, ferns
  • Oats, barley, wheat, berries, herbs, tea, potatoes
  • Birds: Albatross, puffins, pelicans, herons, storks, flamingos, swans, geese, ducks, eagles, hawks, falcons, pheasants, doves, owls, woodpeckers, swallows, finches
  • Mammals: Hedgehogs, shrews, bats, rabbits, beavers, mice, dolphins, seals, wolves, foxes, badgers, walrus, bears, deer, lynx, oxen
  • Reptiles: Snakes, lizards
