Climate and Geography

  • Desert, arid, dry, hot
  • Average temperature: 90F, Average high: 127F, Average low: 80F
  • There is little if any change in seasons.
  • Mostly volcanic with many eruptions occurring frequently. Ash constantly fills the air.
  • Settlements are built underground or in the mountains.
  • The constant earthquakes and volcanic eruptions constant work to change the lands, but settlers are quick to try and prevent many disasters.
  • Mountain ranges to the south separating Aratu from Natal
  • There are no lakes and rivers
  • Most of the land is covered in volcanic rock.

Natural Resources

  • Farming is scarce as few plants can grow in the harsh climate. Many Shasse villages survive on hunts alone.
  • Mines are built among the mountains although Natal is in control of the mountains to the south.
  • Because the Arde and Shasse people require very little water to survive, there is no need for a water supply. They mainly survive on the little water from cactus plants and animals.
  • Ore is in an abundance.
  • The Shasse are a secluded people and do not trade with other nations.
