The Eternal City, Roma is the largest urban centre of all Italy, and seat of power of the Popes. This incredibly ancient place, dotted with dozens of ruins of the Old World, can inspire awe into all those who walk among its ancient majestic vestiges, alternating between the bustling populated areas. From here, the Popes adminster their religious and secular power, the former without bounds, the latter extending to all of Lazio, with lordships based in Frusenone (Frosinone), Littoria, and Vetèrbe (Viterbo), as well as parts of Umbria, around Riete (Rieti), most of Romagna, and the exclave of Benevento in Campania.
