Erang is the capital of Thule, where their Watcher resides, and the most populous city of the island. It is located on Thule's southern shore, at the mouth of a small fjord; most of the city rests on the eastern side of the water, and the fjord itself is used as a natural harbor. Erang is the crown jewel of Thule's beauty, and perhaps one of the few places that truly evokes the lost glory of Hyperborea: its lush gardens and graceful towers are a far cry from the hamlets and wooden towns of Norscans, the black, jagged and cruel bastions of the Bretannians, and the baroque, opulent palaces of Atlantis. Erang is governed by the Watcher, who eternally stands vigil on the Tomb of Ur, located in a crypt in the centre of the city. It is quite rare to see foreigners in Erang, as entrance is prohibited to Bretannians and Atlanteans; the fleets of Thule depart from here to strike at Bretannia's vessels, and the High Kings of Morn have tried to take the city more than once, but always failed. The city's seal is a golden tree with green leaves, on a white field.
