Geographies

Summary

A small mountain range, oriented west to east, located in the northwestern region of Denolakvia. From its western ends to its eastern ends, the main ridge is 366 miles long; including the two smaller ridges, the Sempary Mountains are 479 miles long; the extent to which the Semparian orogeny dominates geologically is difficult to pinpoint exactly, but current estimates place the geological boundaries at the Pontus Ocean to the West and the Calumfant Mountains to the East - such a definition would make the Sempary Mountains to be 802 miles long.

Despite being located extremely close to the Poedimus Desert, the mountains are lush year round, and, with the influence of summer monsoons, maintain a snowpack well through the winter, which in turn melts and provides ample water for the gentle slopes below.
