Summary

The mist sea is a valley perpetually filled with mist. It's believed by locals to flow from the door to the land of the dead, deep in the summitlands.

The people of Syvera have a custom of wearing large ornamental bells, or placing them on waggons when travelling through the mist. The Syveran people believe that this wards off the vengeful spirits of the dead.

Those who go out alone with no protection commonly return unharmed leading many to believe that the tradition is just superstition. However, everyone knows the stories of those who never returned.
