Summary

Vinland (Talamh an Éisc in Gaelic, Newfoundland in English and Taqamkuk in Mi'kmaq) is a large island in the Saint Laurent's Bay, roughly triangle-shaped. It was settled long ago by Norsemen, but more recently immigrants from Scotland and Ireland have conquered most of it, and are now the majority of the population, as they absorbed most of the Norse. It is only densely settled on the coasts, while the woods of the inland are still inhabited by indian tribes, mostly Mi'kmaq.
