Summary

California is a vast region on the western shore of the New World: after the Trails to the West and a series of small scale wars, it was unified in a single empire in 827 by Ælla I: the various exploration missions sent by the Tang dynasty and the Japanese were fundamental in the Empire's creation, for they introduced Asian ideas (such as Buddhism) into the nascent Californian society, eventually leading to the creation of the Cetic faith. The Empire was divided into four kingdoms, each headed by a hereditary vassal king, plus the Imperial Capital of Sacramentum, and two other regions which were claimed but never controlled by the Empire.
