There is a section of the eastern coast of Zana known as the Ashen Coast. It gets this name from the large amount of ash which has collected on the shores of this area. The ash comes from the frequent eruptions of the volcano in Angelos. The volcanic ash has caused the coast to become not only black in colour, but also exceptionally fertile. Crops grown on the Ashen Coast are known to be carried across the Harak Desert all the way to Dunra and the western coast.
